Vision for the Bridges of Change
Domestic Violence Shelter
Bridges of Change is a non-profit domestic violence shelter for the region that will provide free emergency shelter and wrap-around services to victims of domestic violence. The region geographically encompasses the counties of New Kent, Charles City, King and Queen, and King William, and the town of West Point, located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The specific objectives and purpose of this organization shall be to:
Provide emergency shelter to all victims of domestic violence and their children.
Provide victim advocacy.
Provide programs and referrals to community resources encompassing counseling, education, job skills, financial counseling and housing.

The mission of Bridges of Change is to provide emergency shelter, advocacy, education and stabilization programs to all persons affected by domestic violence and to lead our community toward the reduction and elimination of family violence.
